Animas City Mountain

We didn't get in quite as much hiking as we'd hoped, mostly because it rained a lot, but also because the altitude change hit us hard. Our first night in Durango we were out of breath just walking up a hill to a restaurant.

Our first hike was Animas City Mountain, just outside Durango. It was a nice, easy walk, and the views from the top were terrific.

Matt and I at the top--or as close as we got; we didn't quite go all the way out to the end because it was getting late.
